Wassily Kandinsky
Wassily Kandinsky (Moscow, december 16, 1866 – Neuilly-sur-Seine, 13 december 1944) was a Russian-French painter and graphic artist. His painting style belonged initially to the Expressionism, sometimes called included in symbolism. Kandinsky was one of the painters who form and philosophical background gave to the abstract art in the first quarter of the twentieth century. Philosopher and psychiatrist Viktor Kandinsky was an uncle of Kandinsky.​
